Moraya. I am opening my blog with the blessing of God Ganesha and my satguru Aaibappa.
Ganesha means the Lord(Isha) of all existing being(Ganas). Universally God Ganesha is known as Ganapati. He is son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Any religious, cultural or any important work is always started by worshing or praying the God of success-Lord Ganesha. It is believed that he blesses his followers in the form of Varad Vinayak and removes all hurdles or obstacles from their path in the form of Vighnaharata.
Lord Ganesha is popular or beloved god not only in India but all over the world.Because of his unique features or shape of body like elephant head or big large stomach and using vehicle like little mouse attracts foreigners too.
They buy statues or pendant of Lord Ganesha when they visit India. His unique features are named him differently such as Ekdant, Vakratund, Lambodar, Shurpakarna etc. . His differently moulded  body has its own meaning. His big head tells us to think big.His small mouth and large ears asks us to talk less and hear more. His small eyes tells us to concentrate and one tusks is stand there to retaingood and throw away bad. His large stomach tells us to digest all good and bad in life peaceully. His vehicle-little mouse also has a grate meaning. the mouse is the symbol of our desires. He tells us to ride the desires and keep them under control, do not allow it to control over u or ride over u.
Ganapati is god of wisdom, art ,music and dance. Though Ganapati is a Hindu god, he has devotees from all castes and religions in India. The followers of Lord Gnesha is known as `ganapatya'. The qualities of ganapatya are faithfulness to Ganesha, hardworker, peace lover, keeps ego away and his mind always remains engrossed in namsmaran or namjap--
